How a prop firm actually works
You pay a challenge fee (€200-1000), pass two phases with profit targets and drawdown limits, and get a funded (simulated) account. Real profits are paid by the prop, usually 70-90% split.
Prop firms: when they make sense
If you have a verified method but little capital. Not if you don't have solid backtests — the challenge pass rate is 5-10%. Prop firms are leverage, not a shortcut.
Our hybrid approach
At TETC we run both a live account (for track record and credibility) and a shortlist of serious prop firms for members who want to scale capital without personal risk. The XAUUSD strategy fits most prop rulesets.
